Chronic Ear Infection

by Paula
(Massachusetts)

I have a British choc. lab I adopted. He is 6 years old.

I am dealing with one chronic ear infection that is costing a fortune in antibiotics.

I believe he was hit by a car years before I got him and it was in that side of the head.

Since then, the ear has been a problem.

Can anyone tell me if there is any solution to keeping the one ear from being infected (brown gunk)all the time and if the hit could have moved his ear canal, thus causing the chronic infection.

Is it common for it to be only one ear?

Thank you all for listening.
